About Stacey E. James

Stacey JamesStacey James has practiced exclusively in the field of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on advising management on wage and hour matters, employee discipline and termination, employment policies and procedures, employee benefits, and fair employment practices.

Ms. James has extensive experience defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation, invasion of privacy, workplace violence, overtime and other wage/hour issues, class actions, and other related matters. She has defended employers in state and federal court and before numerous state and federal administrative agencies, and is a published author and frequent lecturer. She has presented lectures for employer organizations such as North County Personnel Association, East County Personnel Association, San Diego Chapter of the American Payroll Association, Dendera HR and Benefits Group, TLC Staffing Issues in the Workplace Series, National Council of Chain Restaurants, San Diego Employers Association, and Employers Group. Ms. James previously worked in Human Resources and is SPHR certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute. Ms. James received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.S. from San Diego State University. She is admitted to practice in California.

About Andrew Voss

Andrew VossAndrew Voss is an active member of the firm’s class action practice group, a core member of the firm’s wage and hour practice group, and a founding editor of the firm’s wage and hour blog, www.wageandhourcounsel.com. He represents employers across the country in collective, class, and hybrid actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws. His litigation and counseling experience in this area crosses multiple industry sectors, including financial services, hospitality services, retail, insurance, waste hauling, private educational institutions, and transportation. He has successfully defeated conditional certification in a number of threatened nationwide collective actions, and resolved many other cases in consideration of the complicated legal issues associated with wage and hour compliance.

Mr. Voss’ litigation experience also includes jury and court trial as well as appellate practice in both state and federal court involving employment disputes alleging race, ethnicity, age, gender, disability, and sexual orientation discrimination, employee handbook and other implied contract claims. Mr. Voss advises employers on a broad range of employment issues, including leave management, affirmative action and diversity issues, reductions in force, policy formulation, disciplinary proceedings and investigations, hiring and terminations, in addition to his substantial practice advising employers with respect to complex wage and hour challenges.

About Robert W. Pritchard

Robert PritchardRobert Pritchard represents employers in class action litigation and counsels employers regarding wage and hour compliance. Mr. Pritchard makes presentations to human resources professionals and lawyer groups on topics ranging from wage and hour compliance to legal ethics. For the past four years, Mr. Pritchard has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star, chosen by his peers as among the top up-and-coming lawyers in Pennsylvania. From 1996-1997, Mr. Pritchard served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Pritchard received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law, valedictorian, and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Notre Dame, cum laude.

About Whitney Ferrer

Whitney FerrerWhitney Ferrer represents and counsels management clients in connection with all types of employment matters arising under federal and state law, including matters arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Ms. Ferrer has extensive experience in managing and conducting audits of company wage and hour practices, and is a core member of Littler’s Compliance Audit Services group. Ms. Ferrer also represents employers in complex class and collective actions involving overtime and other wage-related claims, as well as employment matters. Ms. Ferrer regularly counsels clients on the preventive measures they should take to avoid or reduce employment and wage related claims, and she provides advice on the practical and legal implications of everyday employment decisions.Ms. Ferrer received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law and her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and Wisconsin.

About Christopher Kaczmarek

Christopher KaczmarekChristopher Kaczmarek advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters. Mr. Kaczmarek’s areas of emphasis include wage and hour issues, wrongful discharge litigation, and the creation and successful implementation of effective personnel policies and employment agreements. Before joining Littler Mendelson in November 2005, Mr. Kaczmarek practiced labor and employment law at Goodwin Procter LLP. Mr. Kaczmarek received his J.D. from Boston College Law School, magna cum laude, and a B.A. from Syracuse University, cum laude. Mr. Kaczmarek is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Kaczmarek previously clerked for the Honorable Paul J. Barbadoro, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of New Hampshire.
